Artist Tracy Stirzaker and poet Mitchell Stirzaker investigate relationships of tethering and untethering to society, self and other. UN/TETHERING explores threads of resilience, love and freedom, through mixed media, encaustic artworks and poetry.
Mitchell Stirzaker is a philosopher and poet whose written words probe social constructs, psycho-spiritual change, contemplative practice, familial relationships, neurodivergent experience, suffering, joy, love, and tensions between values of human attachment and spiritual freedom.
“Art lets me say things I can’t say out loud”. Informed by her lived experience – Sydney based artist Tracy Stirzaker investigates her thoughts, feelings and experiences as a sensitive woman, mother and carer. A fibre artist her art practice explores embodied experiences through painting and textiles techniques, installations and mixed media
